feverish daughter

I think there are few things in life that are worse than a sick baby. Sick kids, when they’re older, can at least tell you what their symptoms are. “Mom, my tummy hurts,” etc. But babies can’t talk. They can point and grunt / cry. This doesn’t help them when they are feeling awful all over the place and just want to be held by mommy.

And who is this needed mommy? Me, of course: selfish, overdriven, got-stuff-to-do me.

I was supposed to get a haircut today, but I moved it to Tuesday. I had a whole plan to have the children taken care of so I could get some self-care / self-attention time. I feel like I moved mountains to get that done. Oh well, I’ll move them back.

Friday is Clean and Conquer Laundry Mountain Day. We’ll see how much I get done with a clingy baby in tow. One-handed awesomeness will ensue.

Other than sick children, it’s been a good week. I had a job interview yesterday that went really well. I probably won’t get the job, but I’m glad I went. It was one of those things that I would have kicked myself if I hadn’t tried for it. I got to the gym a few times. Good week.
