Seizure

I cannot prevent the Hubs from having seizures.
I cannot prevent the Hubs from having seizures.
I cannot prevent the Hubs from having seizures.

But I would if I could.
I would just take away everybody’s suffering. Because who needs all that character?

Control enthusiast that I am, I keep thinking that I can prevent bad things from happening to good people.

Today, the Hubs went to the doctor for the second day in a row because he has a pinched nerve in his neck. He is in quite a bit of pain and very miserable.

He was having twitches (epilepsy) and he came home from work. I wanted to drive him to urgent care but he insisted he was fine. I went and got a pizza because we had a plan for dinner that the hubs was going to cook.

Then, right after everyone was seated, he stood up from his seat and started having a seizure.

May I please add, for the record, that it is terrifying to watch someone have a seizure. I keep thinking, “If I had only insisted on dropping him off at Urgent Care,” or, “If he hadn’t been so stressed out.” I don’t know.

It’s just scary. It is also not my fault.

This was the first of my husband’s seizures that LG, my son, saw.

Holy Christ, how do I explain epilepsy to my children?!

I was worried about this When LG said, “Dadda had a seizure,” to my mother in law when she came in. It feels like a fucking three ring circus around here, most days, and now this.
